  • Understanding the Active Leisure and Learning Sector
  • Understanding the employing organisation.
For this qualification you'll learn in a group environment with your training provider. You'll demonstrate what you've learned through assignments. There is also an online, multiple choice exam in addition to the assignments.

This qualification is aimed at people who want to work or already work in the sport and active leisure industry. If you're not already in the industry, you'll need access to work experience. You don't need any prior qualifications to take the Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning.

This will suit you if you are working in health and social care or in children and young people's settings, and have some relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you've been supervised. This is a one-unit award. You will cover the essential rights and responsibilities of individuals working in health and social care or children and young people's settings.
The qualifications will be assessed by means of externally-set, internally-marked assignments.
